"Check matchmaking database I did," joined in Gonar. "All victims have few matches. Few good dates."

"I talked to Boothby," said Jon. "He told me to leave him alone."

"O-kay. So we know that all the victims are female, somewhat lonely, maybe worried about the Sadie Hawkins Dance. And all went to Moltross' lecture," summarized Krystal.

"I wonder who'll be the next victim," pointedly asked Jon while staring at Krys.

"Yes, who will be next?" asked Serin while staring at Krys.

"Where find lonely girl?" queried Gonar while looking at Krys.

"I don't know," answered Krystal. "Why are you guys looking at me-- Heey! I'm not going to be bait for whatever is doing this!"

"So much for that idea," commented Jon.

"Why don't you and Gonar get a couple of tricorders and examine the Digralan exhibit. Serin and I can check the computer records to see if we can find anything about Digralans," suggested Krystal.

"Like bait idea better," said Gonar dejectedly.

The Dynamic Duo, tricorders in hand, walked over to the Anthropology Building where the artifacts were held. First they went around looking for strange energy readings.

"Wonder you why we always one pair, Krystal and Serin other pair?" asked Gonar to Jon.

"I have something!" exclaimed Jon. "Some sort of energy trail leading into the Anthro building."

Jon followed the trail, which eventually led to the Digralan exhibit, and then to the Omphalos.

"Ugly big head, energy trail source?" asked Gonar.

"Sure looks like it," replied Jon.

And that's when the Medusa Wisp made its appearance.

"The Digralans are an old race, long extinct. On the same time scale as the Iconians," read Serin from his computer display.

"There are some old records which describe some sort of paralytic disease which afflicted Digralans for a time," read Krystal. "Early victims recovered, but later ones all died."

"Yes. Some sort of warp energy being which drained life energy. Intriguing," said Serin.
