Brooke Adams
(Independent). 25-year old business executive, cute. Ok web site but
not that nice looking. Three principles: individual freedom, personal
responsibility, smaller government. Flat tax, against giving illegal
immigrants the same services as citizens, for Prop 54 (don't collect
race data), for Prop 22 (no gay marriages), for Prop 13 (low property
taxes). She's quite Republican in her attitudes -- my kind of girl.
Style +1, Substance +0.
Cheryl Bly-Chester (Republican). About 46-year old single mother of
three, Civil Engineering degree from UC Davis. Allow people to donate
money to the State for specific programs (provide extra tax break),
consolidate government departments, more engineering input into
regulatory agency decisions, remove MTBE from gasoline, eliminate
governmental waste. Seems fiscally Republican, socially Democrat. Clean
and informative web site. Style +6, Substance +0.
Richard J Simmons (Independent). Hmm, web site is now down. Too bad.
Mary "Mary Carey" Cook (Independent). Young blond large-breasted porn
actress (which, if nothing else, counts for a couple of Style points).
Strangely, a rather adult entertainment skew on her goals (tax breast
implants, porn for pistols, live web cams in the Governor's Mansion).
Style +1, Substance -2.
Heather Peters (Republican). 37-year old professional mediator, husband
but no kids. Ok web site, though the changing graphics are annoying.
Open primary elections, legal immigration, mostly centrist. Style +2,
Substance +1.

Robert "Butch"
Dole (Republican). Former 13-year Marine Corps veteran, married with
one kid. Simple web site, basically Republican leanings. Style +1,
Substance +0.
Georgy Russell (Democrat). About 27-years old, UC Berkeley graduate in
Computer Science. Good web site. Liberal criminal policy, raise taxes
for wealthiest people, universal health care, gay marriage, legalize
marijuana, open source software. Style +6, Substance -2.
Arianna Huffington (Independent). Watching the second debate, she
received: Style -6, Substance +0. I really got ticked off how she
attacked everyone and everything, especially going after President Bush.
Cruz Bustamante (Democrat). From the debate: Style +0, Substance +0.
Calm and professional, what it comes down to is that he's still too
much of a Democrat.
Peter Miguel Camejo (Green). From the debate: Style -1, Substance -4.
Bad habit of just talking too much. For the most part I disagreed with
all his policies, though at least he did state them over and over.
Tom McClintock (Republican). Family man, graduate of UCLA. Web site is
way short of details. Substance score will be based on the debate I
saw. Style +1, Subtance +5.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (Republican). Actor and family man. Very
informative web site, much more so than the way he was during the
debate. Maybe that's because he has more people working on his campaign
playform, but I really felt that he actually does have a plan, even if
it is a plan from his advisers. Style +2, Substance +6.
