Today I spent most of the day finally doing Kagero's Dungeon. I had another 160 hit points when I met Lucifer again and again she killed me with her special attack. Actually with the extra hit points I could take her special attack and be down to a sliver of hit points. So I'd go up there and hit her and hit her and do little bits of damage until she killed me. Then go back down, pick up my body and immediately go on the attack again.

I probably died at least a dozen times before I finally got her. And when she died she dropped a book of skills that gives you three skill points, and a bag of 512k experience. Fairly cool and right now too much trouble to go through. Still, I did finally do that. Now I have three more challenges to beat at Normal level: the Cow level, the Gauntlet, and the Infernal Pit.

I picked up four space fragments while clearing out the Dungeon. Woo and Eric told me that I should start making Griswold's Legacy. That requires elite items which you either have to find or you have to manufacture. And if you're going to manufacture them you need space fragments, lots of them. This will take me quite a while.

So I'm watching this independent movie, Trixie. That's two independent movies of the last three I've seen. You know, indie movies can be good but it's a lot harder. Once again I see a movie that lacks something. Good music, lots of extras, big scenary. It looks like an indie film. I don't know about people who prefer indie films. More personal, different stories, lesser actors. There's a reason why Hollywood films are popular. That doesn't mean Hollywood is perfect. But it is good.
Once again I watched the 49ers lose a game. Ken Dorsey started and he looked pretty bad in the first couple of series. But he settled down and played fairly well. Kevan Barlow had one 60-yard run, had another series where he ran effectively, and pretty much the rest of the game he was contained until he left the game with an injury. The defense played well, though once again taxed because the 49ers fumbled the ball a couple of times.

New Orleans won 27-24. I thought it was a good showing by the 49ers and they again did not give up. In the after game interviews the players blamed the refs for the last series. The 49ers were driving to tie the score and had this great screen that went all the way inside the 10. But a penalty was called for offensive pass interference I think. Apparently the players and the 49er commentators thought it was the wrong call. Oh well, such are the breaks of the game.

Apparently today is talk like a pirate day. Steve Jackson is very much into pirates so in the spirit of the day, several people are pirate talking on the SJ Games Forums. That's one reason why I'm not posting today. I don't want to talk like a pirate. Another reason is that I think I'm falling back to my natural quiteness. There's just less good threads for me to opine in.

One thing I wanted to do yesterday was go see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. There was a showing at 22:45 which we could have made since Dave leaves at 22:30. But we fell to talking afterwards and I didn't bring it up.
