Magistracy Signs Armistice With Free Worlds League

Magestrix Kyalla Centrella has managed to arrange for a cease-fire and end of hostilities between her realm and the Free Worlds League. The Leaguers had been engaged in a brutal series of raids on Canopian worlds in retal- iation to Canopian interference in League politics. The raids were mostly inconclusive as the Leaguers couldn't commit too many forces and leave their real borders undefended against the Lyran Commonwealth and the Capellan Confederation. The Magestrix agrees to not subvert League officials unless they ask to be subverted.

Valkyrates Raid Star's End

Star's End, Independent World, Coreward Periphery

Dominatrix Maria Morgraine of Morgraine's Valkyrate raided Star's End last month. She led her battalion into the asteroids to capture a jumpship manufacturing center rumored to be located there. Morgan Fletcher's Belt Pirates repulsed the raid. No word on the casualties of either side.

Snakes Send Punitive Force Into Periphery

There are reports that the Dracs have sent a major force into the Core- ward Periphery on a punitive expedition. Estimates are that a mixed regiment has been seen raiding several worlds, killing any bandits and civilians in their wake. The expedition is a response to the many successful pirate raids in the last few months by the Bandit Kingdoms.

Spotlight On: The Taurian Concordat

Located edgewards of the Federated Suns, the Taurian Concordat was established in 2253 by Samantha Calderon. The Concordat is based on the Hyades Cluster, which contains almost a dozen habitable worlds within one jump of each other.

Presently, the Concordat is the largest periphery state with over thirty worlds. Under the current Protector of the Concordat, Thomas Calderon, the military forces have been increased to twelve battlemech regiments and about thirty conventional regiments.

The Concordat is well known for its educational system. The Taurian literacy rate is the highest in of any nation, including any in the Inner Sphere. The Concordat has a strong economy and is currently expanding its borders by colonizing edgeward worlds.
