Federated-Commonwealth Alliance Document

Prince Hanse Davion announced a historic agreement between the Federated Suns and the Lyran Commonwealth. The Prince and Archon Katrina Steiner signed the Federated-Commonwealth Alliance Document with ComStar Primus Julian Tiepolo as witness. The document outlines the formation of a new state which will incorporate the Federated Suns and the Lyran Commonwealth. The unification of the two realms will take place over the course of the next three decades.

Immediate benefits include a gradual cancellation of all trade barriers between the two realms. The two militaries and intelligence agencies will begin to cooperate freely with each other. A new currency will be introduced.

Cease Fire in Capellan-Taurian Conflict

A cease fire went into effect last week in the Capellan-Taurian Conflict. Delegates from both sides will meet on Pojos to work on a peaceful resolution to the war which started almost exactly one year ago. The Taurian Concordat still occupies the world of Larsha which lies on the Capellan-Taurian border.

The war has been a drain on the Capellan armed forces. They have suffered heavier than anticipated losses against the Taurian army. The Taurian military is also stretched thin since the Taurians never had the necessary forces to have started the war in the first place.

Ozawan Radiation Index Down

Ozawa, Addicks PDZ, Draconis March, Federated Suns

Iona Devries, Duchess of Ozawa, announced that radiation cleanup is going well on Ozawa. "I am pleased to say that the Radiation Index is down to 24.74% Decades of work have helped to clean the environment and return large tracts of land to habitability. As always, I give a heartfelt thanks to the Davion government. Their technical and financial support are appreciated by the people of Ozawa."

The Radiation Index was 24.88% a decade ago. Ozawa was heavily bombarded with nuclear weapons by the Kuritans during the Second Succession War. Organized cleanup started sixty years ago with the RI then being 26.02%
