Red Devil Builds Its 1000th BattleMech

Duke Hermann Greerson, CEO of Red Devil Industries,
showed off
the 1000th BattleMech built by his company since they started
manufacturing 'Mechs late last century. The Duke piloted the Red
Devil BattleMaster through a practice course, achiving a score of
92% RDI is is a long-time manufacturer of armored vehicles and
small arms. Their BattleMech factory builds upwards of 40 Riflemen
and 10 BattleMasters per year.

Baker Pharmaceuticals Buying Back Stock

The stock price of Baker Pharmaceuticals has risen 15%
in the
last quarter due to the company buying back its own stock at
higher than market prices. The troubled company, which recently
lost a 300-million credit lawsuit to the LCAF, is rumored to be
a takeover target for the big conglomerate Nashan Diversified.
Earnings are down 60% compared to the same quarter last year.

There were no surprises in the first round of the
Solaris
Successor States Championship. The teams from the Federated Suns,
Draconis Combine, Lyran Commonwealth, and Capellan Confederation
all beat their opponents convincingly. The closest match was
between the Liao team and the Taurian Concordat team, who were
able to retire in good order after a few minutes of action. All
first round matches were held in the Liao arena. Second round
matches will be held in the Marik arena.
