The Finals of Solaris Successor States Tournament pits
the two strong teams of the Federated Suns and the Draconis
Combine against each other for the Championship. The match
will be held in the dreaded Ishiyama Arena, better known as
Iron Mountain. Each team advanced by defeating the Lyran
Commonwealth team and the Capellan Confederation team,
respectively.

Colonel Ardan Sortek, commander of the Heavy 'Mech
regiment in the Royal Brigade, is listed as Missing In
Action on Stein's Folly. One of Prince Davion's closest
friends, Colonel Sortek was on detached duty observing
the action on Stein's Folly. The Prince has sequestered
himself since hearing the news and refuses to see his
advisors.

ComStar Breaks Ground on New Vandenberg

Today, ComStar engineers broke ground on a new Class A
facility being built on the Concordat world of New Vandenberg.
This is the first of five Class A facilities being built
in the three major Periphery states -- two in the Concordat,
two in the Magistracy of Canopus, and one in the Outworlds
Alliance. ComStar's existing facilities in the Periphery are
all Class C and they have wanted to improve the facilities
for some time, but it has taken them years to work out the
bureaucratic details with the three Periphery governments.

The rebellion on the small planet of Verthandi has
escalated with the arrival of a mercenary unit hired by
the rebels. The newly formed Gray Death Legion has been
contracted to combat the 'Mech forces sent by Duke Ricol
to quell the rebellion. Contact with the Legion has
been lost after an initial "all's well" message.
