Governor-General Nagumo was reportedly killed in the
last
clash between rebel and loyalist forces in the capital of
Regis. The Rebels have taken Regis, driving the Combine
garrison back to the Spaceport, where the additional firepower
of their dropships prevent the capture of the remaining
Kuritans. DCMS troops are being pulled back to the Verthandi
Spaceport.
Commonwealth Fleet Appears on Verthandi

A dozen Lyran Commonwealth ships have appeared at the
Nadir
Jump Point of Verthandi. Estimates are that there could be up
to six regiments of LCAF troops in the fleet. The Lyrans have
announced that they are here on behalf of the Free Verthandi
Government.

Prince Hanse Davion was on hand to see the start of the
first
Galahad Games, a joint wargame exercise involving units from the
Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the
Federated Suns. Prince Davion witnessed the start of an invasion
of Deneb Kaitos by a Lyran Guard unit. Forty-odd Mech Regiments
along with 200-plus Conventional Regiments are participating in
the Games, which are scheduled to run for the next three months.

The Dieron Military District forces remain on alert as
the
Davion and Steiner troops on the other side of the border engage
in mock combat. Warlord Vasily Cherenkoff has publicly said that
he's worried of some sort of Davion deception. Meanwhile, the
Rasalhague, Benjamin, and Galtor Military Districts have all
reduced the readiness levels of their forces.
