In a not so unexpected turn of events, the Crucis Lancers have
successfully conquered the world of Tikonov, capital of the
Tikonov Commonality of the Capellan Confederation. Reports are
that Liao Colonel Pavel Ridzik was able to escape with most of
his Mech regiments intact.

The 3rd Battalion of the 18th Dieron Regulars have left Altair
to help defend the nearby world of Ko, which is under attack
by the Lyran Commonwealth. An infantry regiment accompanies
the 3rd Battalion, whose absence leaves Altair with 2 DCMS Mech
Battalions to defend it.

The Free Worlds League Duchy of Andurien has declared war on
the Capellan Confederation. The 4th, 5th, and 6th Defenders
of Andurien have landed on the Capellan worlds of Carver V,
Procyon, and Sirius. Reports are that all three worlds have
quickly fallen to the Andurien troops. Captain-General Janos
Marik has not yet issued an official statement.

In response to the reports of Liao Cataphract production, the
New Avalon Institute of Science has accelerated the timetable
of its Alliance Assault BattleMech. Reporters were onhand to
witness the first field tests of the 100 ton Mech, which sports
an impressive array of weapons and armor. The prototype Mech
passed the field tests with flying colors, and the NAIS expects
the 2nd prototypes to be built by the end of March, 3029.
