Commanding the 2th and 14th Legion of Vega, Colonel Theodore Kurita has orchestrated a series of brilliant maneuvers to reverse the military situation on Vega. The 3rd Lyran Guards had confined the Kuritan forces to a small peninsula on the main continent. Since then, the Legion of Vega has broken out of the pocket, dividing the Lyran Guards in two. Currently, the 3rd Lyran Guards are retreating across the continent as they try to restablish a defensive line.

Genyosha Threaten Northwind

The Draconis Combine's second offensive into the Federated Suns has concentrated on the centrally located world of Northwind. The Kuritan Genyosha, as well as the 5th Sword of Light and the 36th Dieron Regulars have been tasked with capturing the world, which would effectively cut off the Federated Suns from the Lyran Commonwealth.

The Kuritan forces currently hold most of Northwind and threaten to soon capture the planet. Although the defending forces -- including the 5th Deneb Light Cavalry, Team Banzai, and Bradley's Bravos -- have hotly contested the planet, their smaller force has been slowly ground down to bits and pieces that hold the capital of Cromarty as their last line of defense.

Capellans Launch Counteroffensive

The Capellan Confederation has finally managed to mount an offensive against the Federated Suns. Taking the survivors from the Federated Suns offensives and supplementing them with milita units, the CAF has struck at six worlds behind the main lines. The six worlds reportedly warehouse the supplies for the next Davion wave; their loss will delay the AFFS advance by months, time the Capellans desperately need. Fighting has been heavy, yet inconclusive, on all six worlds.

Highlanders Return to Northwind

In an astonishing turn of events, the Northwind Highlanders arrived in the proverbial nick of time to save the Davion defenders on Northwind. The four Highlander regiments, formerly of the Capellan Confederation, have switched sides and now fight for the Federated Suns.

"After centuries of exile, the Highlanders have come home," declared Colonel Henrietta McCormack of McCormack's Fusiliers. "We have come to our true home and we will never again let anyone drive us out."

With the addition of the Highlanders to the Davion side, the Kuritan forces find themselves outnumbered. But the battle for Northwind is far from over, as the Highlanders have yet to link up with the Davion defenders in Cromarty.
