In the wake of the Interdiction, Prince Hanse Davion has commandeered
half of the civilian Jumpships in an effort to keep the communication
lines open to the front. The rest of the Jumpships are now under the
jurisdiction of the Federated Suns Transport Authority. Absolute
necessities are given priority, with small luxuries making up the
rest of the balance.

Pavel Ridzik Assassinated

Tikonov Free Republic
Supreme Lord Pavel Ridzik, ruler of the Tikonov Free Republic,
was found dead in a room of the Hotel Percheron in downtown
Elgin City. An autopsy revealed that Ridzik was poisoned. TKR
troops have sealed the city while a search for the assassin is
conducted.

The Federated Suns has instituted a lottery in order to fairly
distribute minor luxuries to the people of the realm. Already,
many citizens have to do without many of the comforts that they
were used to before the war started. In a holotaped speech, Prince
Hanse Davion announced that he has used some of his personal funds
to buy the luxuries to be distributed through the lottery system.
