In a battle that lasted for several hours, 2nd Battalion
fought and defeated a like-sized force of enemy Mechs
a few kilometers West of Verthandi University. The unknown
Mechs used unusual 6-Mech lance formations that stifled
the 2nd Batt, which suffered heavy casualties. No enemy
Mechwarriors were captured as they fought to the last man.

In a solemn ceremony, Major Roger Isa, commander of the 2nd
Battalion, honored the fallen following the Battle of Verthandi
University. A moment of silence was observed, as the battle
standards were lowered to half mast. Afterward it was a return
to duty as 2nd Battalion remains on alert.
