The Mercenary Kell Hounds defeated the Draconis Combine Genyosha during three days of fighting on the world of Nusakan. The savage combat culminated in a one-on-one duel between Kell Hound Colonel Morgan Kell and Genyosha Colonel Yorinaga Kurita, a second cousin of Coordinator Takashi Kurita.

Colonels Kell and Kurita fought at close range, Colonel Kell in his Archer and Colonel Kurita in his Warhammer. Although fighting at a disadvantage due to the close range, Colonel Kell managed to defeat Colonel Kurita, at which point a truce was declared. Colonel Kurita later commited sepukku to atone for his defeat.

Margaret Aten Confirmed as Leader of Skye

Lady Margaret Aten, Duchess of Skye, was confirmed as the new leader of the Federation of Skye by Archon Katrina Steiner. The Duchess succeeds Duke Aldo Lestrade of Summer, who was assassinated two months ago. Duchess Aten is a vocal supporter of the Archon, and is known for her strong liberal stance in Skye politics.

Ardan Sortek Remains as TFR Leader

Leftenant General Ardan Sortek of the Federated Suns remains as interim leader of the Tikonov Free Republic following the assassi- nation of Supreme Lord Pavel Ridzik five months ago. With the formal cessation of hostilities between the Free Worlds League and the TFR, plans are underway to elect a new leader for this fledging state. AFFS peacekeepers continue to protect most TFR worlds.
