After being handed a disastrous defeat at the hands of
the Royal
Guard, the remnants of the invading force have departed Altair.
In a worldwide address, Duchess Selena Kyle declared that the
war is over and that now is the time to rebuild. The invaders,
said to be from the Federated Suns, lost almost two regiments
clashing with the Royal Guard and the Altairan Defense Forces
in and around the city of Dragon's Domain.
New ComStar Precentor

ComStar announced that Myndo Waterly, formerly Precentor
Dieron,
has succeeded former Primus Julian Tiepolo as ComStar's Primus.
Primus Tiepolo suffered a fatal heart attack earlier this month.
In a Sphere-wide broadcast, the new Primus assured everyone that
she will continue to uphold and further her predecessor's ideals
and goals.

Chancellor to Sign Peace Treaty

Chancellor Romano Liao has agreed to sign the peace
treaty and
declare and end to the 4th Succession War. The Chancellor regrets
her earlier rebuff of the treaty, and knows that this is the best
course of action for her people. In related news, ComStar pledges
to donate substantial material aid to the Confederation to help
them rebuild. Also, ComStar will provide peacekeeping forces to
help protect the Confederation border while they rebuild their
military.

With the stand down of military forces, the people of
the Tikonov
Free Republic celebrated the first anniversary of their formation.
The fledging independence of this small state may be in danger
once the Federated Suns withdraws its military aid, leaving the
TKR at the mercy of the Free Worlds League. A growing movement
within the TKR advocates joining the soon-to-be Federated Common-
wealth. Only time will tell if this fragile state can remain
autonomous.
