Summary

Clyde, Izzy, Wrigley, and Selena face another lance in a Solaris arena. They disable three enemy mechs while only losing Wrigley's mech. Afterwards, Selena is invited to appear at a talk show. The Liao sponsored show emphasizes her Capellan upbringing and she only goofs up a few times. Izzy and Selena go to Warrior's Way Brokerage to look for a job for the Blowfish. On the way back they witness a murder in the Davion quarter. Izzy and Selena get into a fire- fight with the murderer and Selena disables the murderer. The police question her and let her go. Wrigley spends his time in bars and such looking for com- pany. Clyde spends his waking hours at the Battlemech Center in the Internatio- nal quarter.

The Blowfish - 3020.04 - #0004 - Solaris

Summary

Wrigley and Selena join Shade and Hydro in an arena fight versus another lance. Wrigley botches the match and the group faces a veteran lance. Hydro's Rifleman overheat and explodes. Selena's Panther loses an arm. Wrigley and Shade are out by points. Other side has a Marauder blow up, Phoenix Hawk out by points. They still have an Orion half damaged and an untouched Whitworth. Characters get the 50000 C-bill consolation prize, of which Wrigley and Selena get 25000. This covers about a third of the damage to their two mechs. Hydro sells the scrap that was his mech and gets a used Commando. Shade's Battlemaster is fixed up.

Selena spends the rest of the month hanging out at some mech bars and meets Robert Hopton, an up and coming duelist currently ranked 30th. He offers to get the group signed on with the Delon stables. Meanwhile Wrigley, Hydro, and Shade go to a bar to drown their sorrows. The stablemaster of the lance they just fought comes in and insults them; calling them cheats and lowdown scum. Hydro punches the stablemaster and the stablemaster's three bodyguards wade in. Wrigley fakes going down making it a 3 on 2 fight. Hydro pulls out his Sternacht and wings a bodyguard. The three bodyguards pull out their auto-pistols and shoot Hydro until he's unconscious. Then the bodyguards beat up Shade.
