Summary
The unit stops at Marcus for repairs for the Swordfish. Izzy, Roy, and
Mr O are
with the JumpShip. A couple of days later Jinx and Shade show up. They
found
out that a large force has been sent to destroy the Blowfish. Their
current
target is the Swordfish - with its destruction the unit would be
stranded on
Marcus.
The unit mobilizes with 14 'Mechs available. Michelle Ryan and a couple
of DEST
will pilot the spare 'Mechs. Selena takes her lance and hides while the
rest
await the attacking 'Mechs.
The first wave is composed of light to medium 'Mechs which swarm in.
The two
reinforced lances hold their ground and destroy the enemy company while
taking
light damage.
The second wave is a company of medium and heavy 'Mechs. This wave
concentrates
on one flank and tries to push through. Fighting is very heavy and
Selena comes
out of hiding to help.
That's when the enemy 'Mechs turn on Selena and try to kill her.
Desperately,
Selena moves her Panther and avoids most shots. But her Panther is
still heavily
damaged. Luckily, the rest of the 'fish arrive and destroy the enemy
'Mechs.
The third company decides not to attack.
After the fight Sir Wrigley and Selena interrogate a couple of the
prisoners.
They find out that the battalion that came her was Wilson's Hussars,
who
followed the unit from Styx.
The unit gets lots of salvage. They fix the Swordfish and return to the
Fugu.
Two more jumps this month leaves the unit at Adhafera in the Stewart
Commonality
with a discharged JumpShip.
