Summary
Selena and Roger go look for recruits and Roger hires a Regular
Mechwarrior.
Wrigley and Roy go in Wrigley's mobile bar. They end up in a bad part
of town
and are attacked by some heavily armed thugs. They are able to escape
though
the RV takes some damage. Clyde makes another poem for Michelle. They
fight
another simulator duel. They both fight much harder than last time but
Michelle
wins again barely.
After a stockholder meeting, it is decided that Wrigley will buy the
Blowfish
Hunchback for Maya. Two amendments to the charter are passed: (1)
Future charter
amendments require 2/3 vote to pass, (2) motions involving 5 Million
C-bills or
more require 2/3 vote to pass. Roger buys 140,000 in common stock.
Selena, Roy,
and Clyde chip in to buy the Hunchback.
Later that week there is a surprise attack against the ski lodge.
Wrigley's
lance is on guard duty. Roy's lance is practicing with Selena
observing. A
medium company of Kuritan 'Mechs (from the 18th Dieron Regulars)
attacks.
Victor's Warhammer explodes via a lucky ammunition hit. Half a minute
later
Roy's Orion has blown up and Lethbridge's Whitworth is toast. A couple
enemy
'Mechs are down also. The bad guys go after Selena who is quickly taken
down.
They start dragging her 'Mech away. Wrigley does a death-from-above and
misses
but Selena also ejects near him. Wrigley shields Selena as his 'Mech is
mauled
and Selena manages to get away. At this point the enemy 'Mechs give up
and
leave.
The unit leaves Atreus and heads for Terra.
