Summary
The unit stops at the world of Keystone to resupply. Once there, they
hear
that the world has been attacked monthly by a pirate band. The pirates
hit
the major city and raid some warehouses next to the spaceport. Selena
and
Wrigley visit the ruling baron and convince him to hire one of the
Blowfish
companies to engage and destroy the bandits on their next raid.
The contract pays 500 000 C-bills, full salvage, transportation to
catch up
with the Blowfish jumpship, 1 month. Wrigley's, Izzy's, and Roy's
lances will
stay behind. The rest of the Blowfish continue on to Terra.
The bandits attack on schedule. They have a medium company which is
surprised
by the hidden Blowfish. The bandit recon lance goes down in the first
two
volleys and the bandits start retreating to their dropship with the
Blowfish
pursuing. Four bandit 'mechs make it out while the Blowfish end up with
two
of their 'mechs crippled and out - the Panther and the Catapult. +2
Merc Rating.
Meanwhile, on the Fugu, Clyde continues to harass Michelle:) He gives
her
another of his poems which she likes. They once again fight on the
simulator
and once again Michelle wins a close match. Clyde's nefarious schemes
are
proceeding smoothly:)
