Summary
Selena challenges Duke Muirvald Cooke to a one-on-one 'Mech duel. If
she wins
the Duke will step down and go back to being a Count. If he wins Selena
must
forfeit her right to pursue her family's Dukedom.
The Duke pilots an experimental DRG-5N Dragon with an Ultra-AC/5 and
CASE ammo.
He is Elite+. Initially he hits Selena at long range and Selena hits
back with
her PPC. The Duke closes to just over 100 meters and they trade shots.
Selena
is taking heavy damage when she hits the Ultra-AC/5 ammo which blows up
the
right torso and right arm. The Duke is badly wounded.
The fight is still close. The Panther's right arm (with the PPC) is
almost gone
while the Dragon's left torso (with LRM 10 ammo) is very thin. As the
Duke
destroys Selena's left leg, she penetrates his center torso and
destroys the
engine shielding, shutting down the Duke's 'Mech.
Later, Selena throws a BIG party. She gets Michelle assigned to be head
of her
bodyguards.
