Summary
Roy changes 'Mechs and will use the Marauder (Marik) the Blowfish got
from the Free Worlds League. An unidentified dropship lands on Altair.
Roy convinces Selena to let the Blowfish handle it. Selena leads Sir
Wrigley, Clyde, Roy, and Maya in a reconnoitering mission.
As they pass through a river delta, they spot four Davion 'Mechs on
the other side of a river: a Catapult, an Ostol, a Shadow Hawk, and a
Hunchback. The enemy lance is part of the Veteran Mercenary unit
Lindon's Company, who are working for House Davion. Their mission is
to test and probe the planetary defenses to see if the recent political
troubles have affected those defenses.
Roy, who's taking point, takes fire from all of the enemy 'Mechs and
retreats back to the rest of the Blowfish. Sir Wrigley charges forward
in his Atlas, Maya follows in her Hunchback. The enemy 'Mechs flit in
and out of the woods, scoring repeatedly while taking less damage from
the numerically superior Blowfish.
Sir Wrigley attempts a flanking maneuver using a river as partial
cover.
The enemy 'Mechs close in, fire at close range and kick him. He takes
several shots in the head and he falls. When he tries to get back up
he falls again and knocks himself unconscious.
Meanwhile, Roy loses his right torso which disables half his weapons.
Maya takes murdering fire which destroys her 'Mechs head; she manages
to eject out of her 'Mech. The enemy 'Mechs have taken a lot of damage
but all are still standing and moving around. The Lindon Hunchback
loses
its AC/20, the Ostsol has no head armor, the Catapult only has two
missile salvoes left.
The enemy 'Mechs retreat before they start losing 'Mechs. The remaining
Blowfish watch them go.
Michelle hires one RG infantry squad.
