Summary
Galtor:
B/1/1 company gets a contract from LexaTech corp (A Combine LAM
manufacturer). An objective raid to get some LAM spare parts from
another LAM manufacturer in the Federated Suns. Roy and group set]
off.
Verthandi:
Michelle's father is a minor noble ruling three cities on Verthandi.
Wedding preparations are underway. The morning of the wedding, Izzy
breaks into Clyde's room and (with the help of Wrigley and his body-
guard) takes a few hundred Blowfish flags.
Clyde lets Rufus, Wrigley, and Izzy arm-wrestle to see who'll be
the best man. Rufus wins. Michelle asks Selena to be maid of honor.
Maya and Drew are bride's-maids. The wedding is traditional and
done correctly. At the reception, Izzy hands out Blowfish flags
for everyone to wave around.
Selena talks to Duke Ricol and asks about the lostech they got
for him a few years ago. He says that his scientists have not been
able to find out what how it works. Selena suggests that maybe her
scientists will have better luck. Ricol agrees to lend the item
to Selena as long as she tells him if anything is discovered. He
will also send a couple of his scientists to help.
Izzy talks to Duke Ricol. He says that since Ricol helped the 'fish
get started, that he'll work for Ricol for a couple of years once
the current contract is done, if Ricol has a position for him. Ricol
says that one of his agents will contact Izzy.
As long as they're on Verthandi, Selena wants to help hunt down
some of the rebel scum running around on the planet. She volunteers
the services of the Blowfish to Governor-General Nagumo. He assigns
a lance to guard a supply convoy, hoping that the rebels will attack
the "lightly defended" convoy.
Selena takes Izzy, Wrigley, Clyde (back from his honeymoon), and
Jinx on the mission. Somewhere out in the marshes, they're attacked
by a company of rebel 'Mechs. The rebels hammer the 'fish, who fight
back with elan. The convoy tries to run away and the rebel mechs
destroy all the vehicles. The Blowfish take this opportunity to
rally and start taking down rebel Mechs. The rebels try to retreat,
but only two get away. Two rebel mechs, an Assassin and a Whitworth,
are salvagable.
