Encounter 5: The Lost Boys

Peter Pan

"The Lost Boys contact you that night. 'Peter, we found the kid who delivered the note to the Mayor's Office. He doesn't want to talk but we thought you'd be able to persuade him.' They drag in another boy, a bit scuffed up but none the worse for wear."

The kid, Ernie, is one of many kids used to deliver anonymous messages. As such, he is unwilling to divulge any information because he doesn't want to be a snitch. "I ain't snitchin' out any of my employers." It is an INFL/AURA vs OV/RV 2/2 with a Hostile modifier. Adults talking to him receive an additional +1 CS Modifier. Giving him money is a -1 or -2 CS Modifier. Being kind to him is another -1 CS modifier. Explaining the situation is a further -1 CS Modifier.
  • 1 RAP: "It was a tall dude with a heavy cloak."
  • 3 RAPs: "There was another guy, some sort of future guy in a gold space suit."
  • 5 RAPs: "They called my up to the Waterloo Building to give me the message."

Encounter 6: The Icicle Melts

The Icicle wants to talk to the heroes. He is either in the hospital recovering from his wounds or in jail.

"You walk into the secured section of the hospital. Two police officers stand guard over the Icicle, one just outside the room and one inside. The Icicle is on a hospital bed, looking quite weak."

The Icicle will thank the heroes for saving him. Then he will offer a deal. Information and in return the heroes talk the Mayor to intercede on his behalf. The Icicle has the following information:
  1. The Secret Society of Super Villains is headed by the Wizard. He's only met with Goldface and the Shark and is not sure how many other members there are.
  2. The Society has a headquarters in the Waterloo Building, on the top floor.
  3. The Wizard has a failsafe plan. He has the power to "blow the city off the face of the map" should the heroes attempt to capture him. The Icicle assumes it's a very powerful bomb planted underneath Island City, though he personally doesn't think there's a powerful enough bomb to destroy an entire city.
The Icicle will offer up point 1 for free. Point 2 is his bargaining chip -- "I can tell you where our headquarters are." But if the heroes beat him to the punch (because of Encounter 5) then he will offer them Point 3.

Go To If the heroes know where the bomb is and want to disarm it, go to Encounter 9, otherwise go to Encounter 7.
