Ensign Cabote
is an incorrigible prankster. Although Starfleet Security knows of his
"rain of donuts" in the Academy and for "fixing" the USS Discovery's
transporters, Starfleet Intelligence has covered for him. Behind his
roguish facade is a keen mind that can quickly analyze and disseminate
a situation into its constituent parts.
Season 2 Evaluation
Ensign Jon Cabote. Ensign Cabote has the natural Ktarian tendency to
cause mischief and mayhem. This inclination is only reinforced by his
Starfleet Intelligence training. Cabote is always suspicious and is
much more likely to handle a situation contrary Starfleet ideals.
Mission commanders have to be wary of Cabote and keep him in check. We
must not let Ensign Cabote be led by a junior officer or an indecisive
commander. I can only point to the mission on Debrock as proof of what
can go wrong if Cabote subverts the mission commander.
Season 3 Evaluation
Ensign Jon Cabote. Ensign Cabote has seemingly turned his life around.
Although still a bit too "playful" and reckless at times, he is
starting to show positive initiative and an ability to work as a member
of a team. The only cautionary note I have is that as a Ktarian, Ensign
Cabote is less mindful to respect other people's privacy and their
basic rights. I believe that I am almost confident enough to assign him
a mission command.
