Lieutenant
Serin fears that he cannot live
up to his Vulcan ideals. The demands of Starship command weigh heavily
on him and he has found it hard to reconcile his duties to Starfleet
with his Vulcan ethics. In practice, this has made him hesitant when
committing to a situation, a problem that Starfleet Command hopes he
will resolve himself.
Season 2 Evaluation
Lieutenant (JG) Serin. Lieutenant Serin has proven to be a capable
commander, always upholding Starfleet ideals, no matter what the
situation. Not the most popular officer, he is still an effective
leader and controls the people in his command. Serin's only
shortcomings are that he is at times a bit too cautious until he is
sure of the situation. He also can be too hands on, not delegating some
tasks that can be better done by others. Serin lacks a certain amount
of imagination and is not flexible if the mission becomes illogical.
Serin needs more experience and should be given as many mission
commands as he can handle. Perhaps the best officer of the current
batch.
Season 3 Evaluation
Lieutenant, JG Serin. Due to a year-long bout with Vulcan Meningitis,
Serin has only participated in one mission, which is classified. As
such, I can not recommend Serin for promotion. But I feel that with his
full recovery, he will once again be the stalwart that I can count on
to anchor the away teams.
