Rewards

If the cadets score at least 20 points they win the Tournament. A score of at least 30 points would be an all-time high score.

Experience:

+1 For showing up
+1 For scoring at least 10 points
+1 For scoring at least 20 points
+1 For scoring at least 30 points

Renown:

+1 Skill for winning the tournament
-1 Skill for scoring no points

+1 Aggression for ambushing/fighting to "the death"/chasing routed opponents
-1 Aggression for not using their phasers (or any attack) at all

+1 Initiative for finding an "out of the box" solution to win the tournament
-1 Initiative if the cadets refuse to play

+1 Openess for trying to talk their way out of all fights. This can lead to a -1 Aggression if they don't fight when the talks break down into conflict.
-1 Openess if cadets make decisions based on race. If it's obvious to the GM, it's obvious to NPCs.

+1 Discipline if they follow one leader
-1 Discipline if the cadets can't keep their act together

Other Ideas

This is a good opportunity to introduce a rival cadet team for the players. Put all the character rivals in this team. They should come upon the cadets as they're about to finish the last test, which would (naturally) put them over the top to win the tournament.

Outview

I ran this adventure with three PCs, who had an easy time resolving the skill tests. I suggest upping the computer terminal questions by 2 to Moderate (6), except for Test 4 which can stay at Routine (4). Change the Search for cover to Routine (4), Moderate (6), and Moderate (8) for +1, +2, and +4 cover. Perhaps change it so that taking a test is 10 minutes instead of five. Up other target numbers by one.
