The ground shakes. Esmerelda runs in. "I just found out that my father is an evil man. He has the cat-slaves tied up and he's cackling sinisterly." Oh no, says Krystal as they all rush back to the city. They enter the laboratory as Professor X is ready to unleash his greatest triumph. "Fools! I will soon attain Godhood!" The evil machine glows menacingly. John shoots it, almost destroying it. Professor X unleashes the machine, which bathes him in strange energies. John succeeds in destroying the machine, which explodes and kills the two cat-slaves tied up next to it.

Purple motes descend into the room. "What is this?!?" cries out the Professor. "What are you doing? Nooo!" screams the Professor as the purple motes, which are the spirits of the humans the Professor has foully murdered, exact their revenge. Silence embraces the room. "Oh well, you didn't need those slaves anyway," comments John.

Epilog. A temporary truce between the characters and Klingons. Now that the purple cloud is gone, the shuttles work again. The Klingons take the shuttle they brought and the humans can take their Runabout. "When next we meet, we meet as adversaries," declares Vorkal to Clancy. "Let's hope that the war will be over before then," returns Clancy.

Analysis. Ok, so once again I glossed over some important points. I made the Professor too convincing as the players had no clue as to his evil intents. The stuff with the power crystals and getting the shuttle working crept in because I wasn't clear enough that there was no hope there, so I let it slide. I guess I wasn't really into this episode because it played out rather rote and it was one-dimensional. Sort of pushing the characters here and there.
