She came to
the park with friends, they interacted with the characters. She left
and Venor followed her to her apartment, noting a Vulcan policeman had
watching the place. Little else of consequence happened at the park,
though lots of hilarity ensued. Later that night, Jon and Venor waited
for T'Lal to leave, taking her police tail with her, and they used that
opportunity to break in and search her place. The found out that she
was not a VIM member, but was actually in the Reunification Movement.
They took that information to the Vulcan police and a day later she and
some other Vulcans disappeared.
By then I wasn't in the mood to continue (big dinner) so we ended the
episode. What they missed was that the Vulcan tail was actually a
Romulan agent who followed T'Lal and captured her and the rest of her
cell. Originally the Romulan agent was supposed to approach the
characters after the scene with Katrina and enlist their aid. But I
thought that was too obvious. I gambled that they would talk to the
Vulcan policeman obviously watching T'Lal and then he would enlist
their aid. But that didn't work and I really wasn't in the mood to try
to continue, though I guess I could have.
Although probably the most fun I had in an adventure because of the
character jokes, it was unsatisfactory as a GM. Lesson learned: don't
eat a big dinner before running, or while running as I did in this
case. That and I should have prepared more. I don't know, I just wasn't
ready to run. I was a bit more generous with renown this week, though
Venor still got bad renown and Jon was a wash. There are times when I
think those two are going to ruin the campaign. But really that's my
responsibility to keep them under control without making it look too
obvious.

The next
couple of adventures don't look to be all that great. But on the other
hand there will be some nice adventures in season 6, and then we'll see
if I want to do a season 7.
