Summary
Selena spends the month reviewing the military and economic situation
of Altair.
Altair has one DCMS 'Mech regiment (18th Dieron Regulars), 2 DCMS
Armored
regiments, 2 DCMS Infantry regiments, 10 Militia regiments. Looking at
the
economic books, she finds that planetary income is much lower than it
should be.
Meanwhile, the Stingrays have arrived at Galtor and have started
training the
local populace. Izzy and Aaron take two milita Mechwarriors (in
Stingers) on
a patrol. They encounter two Kurita Griffins and engage them. After a
minute
one of the Griffins is crippled but two Kurita UrbanMechs join the
fray.
After almost another minute Izzy has lost his right arm, Aaron has lost
both
arms and one of his large lasers, one Stinger has lost an arm, the
other Stinger
is fine. The remaining enemy Griffin is very damaged but still ok, both
Urban-
Mechs have taken a lot of damage but are ok. Each UM has three AC/10
shots left.
Izzy proposes a truce to which the Kuritans accept. The Kuritans ransom
their
crippled 'Mech for 500 000 C-bills.
