Summary
Izzy is still training Davion civilians on Galtor III. He also
continues to
modify Roger's Rifleman.
Wrigley goes out recruiting with Roy. He hires two female Green
Mechwarriors.
Selena gets 8M C-Bills this month from planetary income. She buys a
Hunchback
for Maya and a Shadow Hawk for Izzy. She'll continue to buy 'Mechs for
the
rest of the Blowfish PCs in the coming months.
To help them decide on what 'Mechs they want to get, Selena, Wrigley,
and Roy
test drive some potential candidates in the local arena. Selena has a
King
Crab, Wrigley pilots an Atlas, Roy has a Marauder, they get a fourth
pilot
in a BattleMaster to make it an even foursome.
Roy starts out in the open and is immediately blasted by the
BattleMaster.
Selena follows it up with her twin AC/20s. Roy returns fire on Selena
and
staggers for cover. Wrigley comes out of a building and rakes Selena.
Selena chases after Wrigley, who finds himself between Selena and the
Battle-
Master. Wrigley tries to hide and avoid the twin AC/20s. Roy heads for
a
distant building. The BattleMaster chases Roy and fires, hitting
several times.
Unfortunately the BattleMaster overheats and its machine gun ammo
explodes,
destroying the 'Mech.
Selena manages to score several hits on Wrigley, who is plainly
outclassed in
a one-on-one duel. Roy heads for the duo, deciding to help Wrigley
against
Selena. Selena hits Roy with her twin AC/20s, destroying a leg and his
right
arm. Selena has only two salvoes left with the AC/20s. Roy gets back up
and
hops closer.
Wrigley attacks Selena and they both exchange fire, taking heavy
damage. The
Atlas withstands the King Crab's fire and gives as good as it gets.
Wrigley
punches Selena and takes off the King Crab's head. Roy gets off one
desperate
salvo at Wrigley before he's also taken down.
