Recap

The last episode of the season was a nice fun little holodeck adventure. I wanted to run this last adventure, set in a fantasy genre. But I wanted to make it more of a video game. So I took some elements from Gauntlet and other games and layered them on top of the existing adventure. Present were not an ideal mix of players but I take what I can get: Clancy, Krystal, John and Venor.

There was a warrior (Venor), wizard (Clancy), an elf (John) and a valkyrie (Krystal). Seven fight scenes where the monsters you kill drop coins which you can then use to buy items in between the fight scenes. Courage was expanded to be an all-powerful thing to have. It did get quite unbalanced because the Icon system is not well suited to having high numbers.

Once you have a lot of armor primitive weapons do you like no damage, unless you crit and go through armor. It's also very easy to block attacks, though I guess that makes fights longer, but also more frustrating. Venor totally got buff and the monsters couldn't do any damage to him (and the ones that could would kill the other characters).
