Recap

For this episode I wanted to blow off the backup scenarios. These are the introductory scenarios that I have ready to go just in case not enough people show up or I have to run unexpectedly. Not very long, though very few of the written adventures are long at all. Since it was just going to be three players, I came up with a bit of a thread to tie three adventures together, the two backups and the main adventure. This was also an opportunity to have each character do their own thing and for me to try to weave the story together almost on-the-fly.

The first scenario is _Idol Threats_, the introductory scenario from the Deep Space Nine RPG. Naturally, it takes place on a space station. A giant statue warps in out of nowhere and as the characters start to investigate it, four different groups show up claiming the statue. The challenge is to deal with the factions diplomatically while solving the mystery of the relic.

The second scenario is _The Crusoe Effect_, which is an introductory adventure left out of the Deep Space Nine Narrator's Toolkit. It deals with an Ensign, the sole survivor of a shuttle crash, who ends up on a primitive world. Locals save him and in gratitude he teaches them to smelt and work iron. The characters arrive and have to decide how to undo the damage.
