- Four teams left in FIFA World Cup: Argentina (last cup 2022) vs England (last cup 1966), France (last cup 2018) vs Spain (last cup 2010). I guess it would be nice if England won since it's been six decades.

- Humble Bundle - Narrative Bundle, 12 games for $10. Pointing this out because No Longer Home, if you had used the coupon from last month's bundle, would have been $1.50 and a duplicate buy here.

Sleep 2315 to 0115, 0600 to 1200 (8 hours)
- Last night my Mac mini fan started making this whining noise. Maybe a bad sign but in the meantime too loud to keep in my bedroom.
- Made a Clone of the HD a non-SSD external drive and booted my Mac mini from it. Extremely slow boot but I did login and it is slow though maybe ok for server work. Oh well it's just for emergency so I don't hit the same issue I did with my now-dead MBP.
Tue Jul 14 2026
Sleep 0230 to 1030 (8 hours)
- Downloaded Moneydance, exported all my Banktivity data to QIF, imported hundreds to thousands of transactions. I must say Moneydance is a lot faster than I remember and feels faster than Banktivity (then again I think Banktivity 7 is running on Rosetta 2 whereas Moneydance 2024 is native Apple Silicon). I noticed split transactions did not import right though the final totals seem ok. Will be a pain to fix so I guess ideally I'd like to start this on Jan 01 that way I can go "2026 and earlier transactions may have issues". I guess the issue with that is that Moneydance 2025 was not released and 2026 so far no sign which means is Moneydance dead?
- Reasons for choosing Moneydance. I've used this back in 2006 though it was fairly slow back then because it was Java. Most alternatives I've seen are either subscription based, very expensive, or feature poor. Moneydance is $65 (direct from them) which includes one major upgrade (which makes it iffy buying the Mac App Store).
- Oh, macOS 27 (Golden Gate), to be released later this year, is the last one with full Rosetta 2 support so I guess I have more time.
Wed Jul 15 2026
Sleep 0600 to 1130 (5-1/2 hours)
- C3 dinner. Afterwards CSr, CJr, and I played a game of Unlocked, Ragnarok scenario which has a 90 minute timer (with average play you use up less of that time since wrong answers reduce the timer). Took us two hours but it was a fun game though tiring.

Sleep 0415 to 1145 (7-1/2 hours)
- Mongoose is doing a new version of Dark Conspiracy RPG, which will use the Traveller system. Was not my sort of RPG though I did buy the 1E and 2E bundle not too long ago. In general I'm more and more hesitant committing to Mongoose RPGs because they're quit expensive (all hardcover books, glossy pages, lots of full color art, which is nice and probably appropriately priced, but then the PDFs are quite more expensive than I expect).

Sleep 0300 to 1030 (7-1/2 hours)
- Twitch I think now deletes really old messages in user chat history. I wish they'd keep around deleted/modded message for historical context.
- Went to Safeway. Friday special not that great ($5 boneless wings, or potato wedges, or some sort of flavored sausage) and other things I wanted to buy not cheap enough when I could go to Trader Joe's for same sort of stuff.
- I wish PayPal had a way to keep separate PayPal balances so I know "this money is for this purpose and this money is for another purpose".
